Just down the line from our photograph was the site of the Charfield crash on October 1928, when 16 people died. Plainly, this isn't bothering the driver of 43194 as he hurries on to Bristol.

Hard to believe that the High-Speed Trains are obsolete. A good job they can live on in model form.
